She Leads the Nations Launches on Capitol Hill, Expanding a Global Movement of Christian Women Leaders February 3–4, 2026 | Washington, D.C.
From February 3–4, 2026, She Leads the Nations officially launched on Capitol Hill, marking a historic expansion of She Leads America onto the global stage. The two-day summit convened Christian women leaders and policymakers from around the world to address modern global challenges through faith-informed solutions rooted in human dignity, justice, and mercy.
Representatives from 30 nations gathered in Washington, D.C., uniting women from government, education, law, media, humanitarian service, and faith-based initiatives. The international delegation included sitting Members of Parliament from Kenya and Finland, as well as former members of parliament from the United Kingdom and Pakistan.
The summit focused on addressing the root causes of global instability—including lack of education, limited economic opportunity, forced migration, and persecution—through practical, faith-based solutions that uphold the dignity of women and children and promote ethnic harmony.
Global Challenges, Faith-Based Solutions
Throughout the summit, leaders shared firsthand testimonies of courage amid persecution, injustice, and the silencing of voices—particularly impacting women and children. Discussions centered on developing innovative educational models, job creation across developing nations, and addressing immigration challenges at their source by restoring opportunity, identity, and hope in vulnerable regions.
Participants emphasized the importance of holding human dignity in balance with justice and mercy, offering “prayer in action” through informed policy engagement and compassionate leadership.
Congressional Engagement & International Dialogue
Members of the United States House of Representatives—including Representative Young Kim, Representative Maria Elvira Salazar, and Representative Bill Huizenga, all members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee—participated in the summit. They offered insights into global affairs and underscored the vital role of faith- informed leadership in shaping international policy.
Strategic communications expert Mercedes Schlapp, a first-generation Cuban American, addressed issues of free speech and political persecution, citing her personal connection to the subject. Schlapp said her father was a political prisoner under the 1960s regime of Fidel Castro. She also referenced ongoing efforts by CPAC and other organizations to apply pressure on governments accused of crimes against humanity and restrictions on free expression.
A distinguished panel of African senators and parliamentarians addressed education and workforce development challenges in Kenya and Ethiopia, presenting solutions centered on dignity, opportunity, and sustainable growth.
The summit was chaired by Dr. Liz Doyle, Founder and Executive Director of She Leads America and She Leads the Nations, who cast vision for a global movement empowering Christian women to lead with courage, conviction, and compassion across every sector of society.
Defending Women’s Rights, Free Speech & Religious Liberty
Among the international leaders addressing the summit were Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, and Andrea Williams, CEO of the Christian Legal Centre. They traveled to Washington, D.C., following the nurses’ January 16 legal victory in the United Kingdom, in which a tribunal ruled in favor of nurses who faced unlawful harassment, sex discrimination, and violations of dignity and safety.
The case—concerning objections to being required to share changing facilities with a biological male—has become a landmark ruling for women’s rights and free speech in Britain.
“This was not just a victory for us,” Hutchison stated. “It was a victory for women and girls across Britain—and a warning to other nations. When institutions abandon truth in the name of ideology, women pay the price first. But when women stand together with courage and conviction, cultures can change.”
Also addressing the summit was Päivi Räsänen, a former Finnish Member of Parliament who has faced years of legal action over a single tweet quoting the Book of Romans. Despite previous acquittals, Finnish prosecutors have escalated her case to the Supreme Court, raising serious international concerns about freedom of expression and religious liberty.
Evening of Honor & Inspiration
An Evening of Honor was held in the historic Cannon Caucus Room, where guests honored 14 International Christian Women of Distinction from multiple nations including internationally acclaimed opera singer Saira Peters, from Pakistan. She, along with contemporary Christian artist Beckah Shae, gospel pioneer Honeytree, and UK born worship leader Rachel Dohring inspired the audience with their incredible performances.
More than 175 attendees filled the room, deeply moved by stories of faith, sacrifice, and global impact.
Congressional Breakfast & Closing Call
The summit concluded with a Congressional Breakfast, sponsored by Representative Lisa McClain, a legislative partner of She Leads America giving a keynote speech offering congratulatory remarks for the exemplary growth and and expanding influence of the movement as Christian women across all disciplines collaborate for the transformation of culture through the love of God. Representative Virginia Foxx delivered remarks, calling attendees to steadfast leadership grounded in truth, faith, and service.
Rising Global Threats & Cultural Erosion
The breakfast raised alarms over the rise of Islamic extremism, antisemitism, and the erosion of biblical values impacting families, education, and national identity. CeCe Heil, Senior Counsel and International Legal Director for the American Center for Law and Justice, reported on the worldwide persecution of Christians, particularly the impact on women and children.
Dr. Susan Michael of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem addressed the alarming rise of antisemitism, particularly within educational systems and media influenced by problematic Middle Eastern funding.
Speakers emphasized that the response is not fear or despair, but courageous leadership, truth, and the transformative love of Jesus Christ.
Global Recognition
The historic launch of She Leads the Nations received front-page coverage in mainstream British media, underscoring the growing global influence of Christian women leaders shaping culture, policy, and nations worldwide.
